BenQ announced the launch of the world’s slimmest 8-mega-pixel digital camera, the T850 with 1600 ISO, 3x optical zoom and smc PENTAX lens. Sleek and compact at 14.9mm thick, the T850’s chic stainless steel casing (available in black or red) reflects the minimalist operating ease of the camera. Exceptional efficiency and user-friendliness are made possible by the highly intuitive photo taking and photo editing functions, which center around smartly organized circular touch buttons on the 3” TFT LCD screen. Furthermore, almost all camera functions can be accessed and engaged by using one of three simple finger movements: tap, circle, swipe. In fact, the T850 standouts among touch screen cameras as the only one employing a natural “swipe” gesture for viewing photos and video. A comprehensive selection of options including “Smile Catch”, Auto Face Tracking, Z Lighting, advanced photo art, scribble & scrawl and Quick Bar make the T850 a fabulously fun companion for bringing enjoyment and quality to today’s digital life.

Available in various colors, the Canon Digital Ixus 80 IS was reviewed by RegHardware. As a compact camera, the Ixus 80 comes with 2.5-inch LCD, 8 MP CCD sensor, 3x optical zoom, up to ISO 1600 sensitivity, and DIGIC III processor. It also has various capability that suitable for beginner shooter such as face detection plus 18 shooting modes and color effect.
Verdict:
So is the Ixus 80 IS a mere cosmetic makeover of the Ixus 70 IS? Not quite. It’s got a few more pixels on its CCD and the red eye reduction and face detection systems seem better, but all in all, there’s not a great big difference between the two. We felt that the Ixus 70 IS was more an evolutionary model than a revolutionary offering and the same goes for the Ixus 80 IS.

Canon 55-250mm just reviewed by PopPhoto. They test the lens which mentioned suitable for intermediate DSLR shooters. The lens has a new optical design incorporating a UD element for controlling color fringing and a simpler IS system.
CONCLUSIONS:
A natural for globe-trotting vacationers and soccer parents, this is the obvious second lens for Canon EOS 40D and Rebel XSi owners. Clearly it and the 18-55mm IS make an attractive team that promises sharp pictures in dicey light across an amply wide 13.9X zoom range. And you can’t beat that price.

While the FujiFilm FinePix Z200fd Camera mentioned here is certainly a cool camera, there are other types available – such as security cameras. While you’re unable to carry them with you, they will however consistently record whatever data is within their view. This data, though not coveted as a family portrait, could be critical during an unwanted event.
