Named as the world’s first 50 Megapixel CCD sensor, the Kodak KAF-50100 comes with a newly designed pixel that is smaller in size than the current pixel used in the market. This new pixel also improve the camera response because of the lower “click-to-capture” time. Another good effect include longer battery life and better color fidelity.
The new Kodak sensor is the first to utilize the company’s new KODAK TRUESENSE 6.0 micron Full Frame CCD Technology Platform, which increases both the resolution and camera performance available to photographers. Engineering grade devices of the KAF-50100 are currently available, with volume production planned for Q4, 2008.

As mentioned by Digitimes.com, five digital camera models have been launched by GE in Taiwan. The reports also said that GE has been already joining digital camera market since 2007.
The five models for sale in Taiwan currently and corresponding recommended retail prices are: 8-megapixel A835 at NT$6,990 (US$230), 8-megapixel E840s at NT$7,580, 10.1-megapixel E1035 at NT$7,580, 12.2-megapixel E1235 at NT$9,980, and 8-megapixel G2 (18mm thick only) at NT$9,980.
