“Although not as small as a D40, the camera fits perfectly in the hand and is weighted just right. The lens is nice and compact that covers wide angle to telephoto range in one nice convenient package. With AFS and VR, it is a fast and silent performer and able to give wonderful results handheld with slower shutter speeds. Remember to turn off VR if you use a tripod to keep sharp images. The optional MB-D1 provides the extra juice to give you you 8 frames per second making it equivalent to a D2X! In fact, with the downloadable d2x mode picture controls you can totally emulate a d2x!”
