
The new Sony DSC-T900 camera boasts new technology called iSCN (Intelligent scene recognition) that allows users to take the best pictures without changing settings. The technology is capable of detecting up to eight scenes, recognizing objects, faces and lighting conditions. Then, in one-thirtieth of a second, it changes the setting to get the best shot. The T900 will be available for purchase in April, but you can start to place a pre-order next month at www.sonystyle.com for about $380.

Unlike most of the Canon’s new PowerShot 2009 line-up, the affordable Canon PowerShot A480 Digital Camera comes with Canon’s DIGIC III imaging processor. Priced at $129.99, The camera will ship also in March. Designed as starter camera for young photographer who just want to upgrade from traditional camera, it is packed with 10.0-Megapixel sensor and 3.3x Optical Zoom, and a 2.5-inch LCD screen. Available colors: blue, silver and black.

Available in gray, blue, pink and green case, The Canon PowerShot A1100 IS Digital Camera is ideal for the color-conscious consumer. Set to be available next month, the A1100 features 12.1-MP CMOS image sensor, 4x Optical Zoom lens with Optical Image Stabilization, and 2.5-inch LCD screen with Optical Viewfinder. The new WP-V1 Waterproof Case is designed especially to protect the VIXIA HF20 and VIXIA HF200 Camcorders from water. This case allows the camcorder to dive up to 130 feet down underwater. The WP-V1 Waterproof Case is scheduled to be available in May for an estimated retail price of $599, I repeat $599.

The Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS Digital ELPH Camera is part of the Canon’s new 2009 PowerShot line-up. It’s a great entry-level 10.0 MP ELPH camera that allows you to print large-size images with clarity. Available in six bright colors, including dark gray, blue, pink, green, light gray and orange, the SD1200 IS is scheduled to be available in mid-March for an estimated retail price of $229.99.

The new Canon PowerShot SX1 IS comes with 10MP CMOS sensor, 20x wide-angle Optical Zoom lens (equivalent to 28-560 mm) with Optical Image Stabilization, 2.8-inch vari-angle wide-format LCD, and built-in HDMI connector. Priced at $600, the SX1 is expected to be available in April. Basic features: DIGIC 4 Image Processor, Smart AUTO, Blink Detection Technology, and Active Display. And last but not least it shoots 1080p Video.
