Coming as a successor to the ZS3, the new LUMIX DMC-ZS7 boasts HD video recording capability in AVCHD Lite, 12x optical zoom, GPS functionality, super-fast Auto Focus, and a manual shooting mode designed for advance users. Made by Panasonic, the camera also features a new image processing technology, Intelligent Resolution, which is incorporated in its Venus Engine HD II. Intelligent Zoom also included in addition to the iA (Intelligent Auto) technology.

The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-TS2 digital camera is not only waterproof to 33 feet (10m), but it’s also shockproof to approximately 6.56 feet (2m), freezeproof to 14° F (-10° C) and dustproof. This rugged digital camera will be offered in silver, blue, orange and yellow, but it’s not clear yet when and how much it will cost. Highlights: Sonic Speed AF (Auto Focus), Intelligent Resolution, Venus Engine HD II, 6x Intelligent Zoom, 4.6x optical zoom, a 2.7-inch, and 230,000-dot Intelligent LCD. And last but not least, the LUMIX DMC-TS2 can record HD video in Motion JPEG and AVCHD Lite format.
These are the Samsung‘s newest point-and-shoot cameras from its WB-series – the WB650 and WB600. Both cameras share the same features including 12-megapixel sensor, 15x optical zoom, wide-angle 24mm Schneider lenses, Dual Image Stabilization (IS), HD video recording capability, HDMI port, and Samsung’s advanced scene recognition technology as well as Smart Auto (Still & Movie). But as the higher-end model, the WB650 comes wit built-in GPS technology for geotagging and 3.0-inch AMOLED display instead of TFT LCD.

Four new A-series compact cameras has been unveiled by Canon at CES last week. The cameras include A3100 IS, A3000 IS, A495, and A490 which are priced below $200. Expected to be available starting February 2010, the top model of the series is A3100 IS which incorporates Optical image stabilization, 12-megapixels sensors, 4x optical zoom, and 2.7-inch LCD display.
Coming with 270° swivel lens, the Sony’s new MHS-PM5/PM5K camcorder allows users to shoot 5MP still photos and Full HD MP4 video with a single press of button. Known as bloggie, this Mobile HD Snap Camera also enable users to post the pictures/videos to social networking apps easily, thank to its embedded PMB Portable software. Other highlights: 6.0cm LCD screen, a special 360 Video lens adaptor (PM5K only), and a slot for Memory Stick PRO Duo and SD/SDHC memory cards. The PM5/PM5K bloggie will be available in February.
