Coming as a successor to the ZS3, the new LUMIX DMC-ZS7 boasts HD video recording capability in AVCHD Lite, 12x optical zoom, GPS functionality, super-fast Auto Focus, and a manual shooting mode designed for advance users. Made by Panasonic, the camera also features a new image processing technology, Intelligent Resolution, which is incorporated in its Venus Engine HD II. Intelligent Zoom also included in addition to the iA (Intelligent Auto) technology.

Boasting 8x optical zoom, the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZR3 digital camera is capable of recording your favorite moments in AVCHD Lite HD video format. This super compact camera will be offered in silver, black, red and blue with pricing to be announced. The LUMIX ZR3 features a super-fast AF (Auto Focus), Intelligent Zoom, 2.7-inch large Intelligent LCD screen, SD/SDHC memory card slot that compatible with SDXC memory cards.

The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-TS2 digital camera is not only waterproof to 33 feet (10m), but it’s also shockproof to approximately 6.56 feet (2m), freezeproof to 14° F (-10° C) and dustproof. This rugged digital camera will be offered in silver, blue, orange and yellow, but it’s not clear yet when and how much it will cost. Highlights: Sonic Speed AF (Auto Focus), Intelligent Resolution, Venus Engine HD II, 6x Intelligent Zoom, 4.6x optical zoom, a 2.7-inch, and 230,000-dot Intelligent LCD. And last but not least, the LUMIX DMC-TS2 can record HD video in Motion JPEG and AVCHD Lite format.

These are the Samsung’s newest point-and-shoot cameras from its WB-series – the WB650 and WB600. Both cameras share the same features including 12-megapixel sensor, 15x optical zoom, wide-angle 24mm Schneider lenses, Dual Image Stabilization (IS), HD video recording capability, HDMI port, and Samsung’s advanced scene recognition technology as well as Smart Auto (Still & Movie). But as the higher-end model, the WB650 comes wit built-in GPS technology for geotagging and 3.0-inch AMOLED display instead of TFT LCD.

The is the Samsung’s newest camera from its PL family – the PL80. Coming with 12.2 megapixel sensor, the PL80 has a versatile 28mm wide-angle, 5x optical zoom lens, Dual Image Stabilization, and Samsung’s full range of smart features such as Smart Auto, auto focusing with object tracking, Perfect Portrait System, and many more. The PL80 is also capable of recording standard definition video at a resolution of 640×480 with 30 fps.

The new MHS-CM5 camera is simple to use. It can record both super-smooth 1280×720/60p video and high resolution Full HD 1920×1080/30p clips. Launched together with the PM5/PM5K as part of the Sony’s new Bloggie series, the MHS-CM5 is also expected to be available in February 2010. Featuring a chic ‘pistol grip’ vertical styling, the CM5 boasts a high-quality 5x optical zoom lens, plus a swivel 6.2cm LCD screen that flips out for comfortable shooting and viewing. The CM5 also sports an HDMI connector, letting you enjoy photos and Full HD clips on your BRAVIA™ or any HD TV.

Four new A-series compact cameras has been unveiled by Canon at CES last week. The cameras include A3100 IS, A3000 IS, A495, and A490 which are priced below $200. Expected to be available starting February 2010, the top model of the series is A3100 IS which incorporates Optical image stabilization, 12-megapixels sensors, 4x optical zoom, and 2.7-inch LCD display….

Coming with 270° swivel lens, the Sony’s new MHS-PM5/PM5K camcorder allows users to shoot 5MP still photos and Full HD MP4 video with a single press of button. Known as bloggie, this Mobile HD Snap Camera also enable users to post the pictures/videos to social networking apps easily, thank to its embedded PMB Portable software. Other highlights: 6.0cm LCD screen, a special 360 Video lens adaptor (PM5K only), and a slot for Memory Stick PRO Duo and SD/SDHC memory cards. The PM5/PM5K bloggie will be available in February.
