Panasonic announced the LUMIX DMC-LX5 compact camera. With an ultra-bright F2.0 ultra-wide-angle 24mm LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMICRON lens, the LUMIX LX5 minimizes image distortion and offers large viewing space. Highlights: 3.8x(90mm) optical zoom, 10.1-megapixel CCD, Venus Engine FHD image processor, able to record HD videos in AVCHD Lite, 3.0-inch large 460,000-dot high resolution Intelligent LCD, and is able to shoot 400 photos (CIPA) per a single charge.

Coming as a successor to the ZS3, the new LUMIX DMC-ZS7 boasts HD video recording capability in AVCHD Lite, 12x optical zoom, GPS functionality, super-fast Auto Focus, and a manual shooting mode designed for advance users. Made by Panasonic, the camera also features a new image processing technology, Intelligent Resolution, which is incorporated in its Venus Engine HD II. This rugged digital camera will be offered in silver, blue, orange and yellow, but it’s not clear yet when and how much it will cost. Hitting Europe since early 2009, the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FS7 compact camera backs to its motherland (Japan) with four color of choices: Silver, Blue, Pink and Green. This camera has 2.7” wide view LCD and 4x optical zoom. It also allows you to shoots VGA video at 30fps.
