Boasting 9.1MP CMOS sensor, the new ‘Xacti VPC-CG9′ video camera from Sanyo equipped with 2.5-inch LCD, 5x optical zoom lens, and SD memory card storage.

Supporting MPEG-4 AVC(Advanced Video Coding)/H.264 high compression and recording format, the Xacti VPC-CG9 compresses 60 VGA(640 x 480) frames into each second. It can simultaneously record VGA movies and 2M stills without interrupting movie shooting.

Sanyo just announced its next Xacti series, the DMX-CA8. This waterproof camera sports 8MP sensor and equipped with ‘Face Chaser’ function both for movie and photos. As mentioned on the press release, this movie camera will be available in Japan starting next month.
